In my opinion even if technology is becoming an essential part of our lives and thus making us more cyborg-like, it is admittable that in most cases its there because we want it to be there and not because we have no other choice. It is essentially part of our body and mind that is converted into different forms of technology so that we can focus on something even more advanced.
To consider this phenomenon making us into a cyborg is something i would disagree with as most of what we are transferring over to technology is relatively basic for the human mind and body, and leaving those duties to ourselves (and not making use of machines/technology) could make us stagnant in terms of advancement.
